They plot together to ruin the things that bring her popularity, being her friendships, her relationship with Aaron, and her body.
After Cady leaves the Halloween party in tears seeing Regina kissing Aaron, she devises a plan with Janis and Damian to destroy Regina. Unlike Cady, Janis knew from the start that Regina was mean, and a bully. After Cady sits with the Plastics at lunch instead, Janis tells her she should become friends with the group so they can laugh about the horrible things the Plastics get up to behind their backs. She befriends Cady, and they skip class together along with Damian. She also developed a bitter hatred for the Plastics after Regina told everyone in High School that Janis was a lesbian, which may or may not have been true.Īt the beginning of the movie, Janis is considered to be a social outcast. Janis took this opportunity to start expressing her set through style and the arts, which was something she was not allowed to do whilst under Regina's tyranny. In High School as a Freshman, Janis was briefly part of Regina’s popular group, the Plastics, along with Gretchen Wieners and Karen Smith, however later left as Janis had shaved half her hair due to being upset about Regina neglecting her.
This resulted in Janis’s mother calling June George and shouting at her. At Regina’s birthday pool party, Janis was uninvited after Regina thought Janis was a lesbian. However, in eighth grade Regina got her first boyfriend, Kyle, and began spending more time with him than Janis. Janis was Regina George's best friend in Middle School, and previously very popular and fashionable.
Janis is of Lebanese heritage, and grew up with Regina George.
